Some of the best beaches in Cape Town are right on our doorstep – whether you’re after sandy shores, sheltered rockpools or even trendy hangouts, you’re spoilt for choice in Cape Town.

Saunders Rock Beach

Saunders Rock beach is surrounded by breathtaking views and magical sunsets and is a perfect spot for a romantic picnic. This secluded beach with its tidal pool, is just a 2-minute walk from the hotel.

Queens Beach

Queen’s Beach is named after the Queen’s Hotel (which later became The President Hotel). It’s very popular for sunbathing and there’s a shallow gully – perfect for swimming.

Clifton 1st beach

There are four Clifton beaches – Clifton 1st being the closest to the hotel It’s popular for its big waves, making it a favourite for surfers. Clifton’s water can be quite chilly, so it’s ideal for the Cape Town summer months.

Camps Bay Beach

This beautiful, long stretch of white sand is a trendy spot, with its bordering restaurants and clubs. It’s also a stop for the popular red City Sightseeing Bus (there’s a hop-on bus stop just 50 metres from the hotel).

Simons Town &  Boulders Bheach

Apart from being a beautiful, sheltered beach, Boulders is the only place in the world where you can get up close to African penguins. It’s truly a special experience, and because it’s a protected area, there is an entry fee.
