Queens Beach

Queen’s Beach is named after the Queen’s Hotel (which later became The President Hotel). It’s very popular for sunbathing and there’s a shallow gully – perfect for swimming.

Clifton 1st beach

There are four Clifton beaches – Clifton 1st being the closest to the hotel It’s popular for its big waves, making it a favourite for surfers. Clifton’s water can be quite chilly, so it’s ideal for the Cape Town summer months.

Camps Bay Beach

This beautiful, long stretch of white sand is a trendy spot, with its bordering restaurants and clubs. It’s also a stop for the popular red City Sightseeing Bus (there’s a hop-on bus stop just 50 metres from the hotel).

Boulders Bheach

Apart from being a beautiful, sheltered beach, Boulders is the only place in the world where you can get up close to African penguins. It’s truly a special experience, and because it’s a protected area, there is an entry fee.
